New York-based CFDA Award-winning designer Emily Bode has teamed up with luxury hotel Palm Heights to create a limited edition collection using the property’s iconic white & yellow and white & tan terry cotton striped towels that have been turned into a series of stylish jackets. Expressing a sentimentality for the past by studying personal narratives and historical techniques, BODE is known for its modern workwear silhouettes united with female-centric traditions of quilting, mending, and appliqué. The pairing between BODE and the luxury hotel, which is nestled on Seven Mile Beach on dreamy Grand Cayman island, began two years ago when Palm Heights’ creative director Gabriella Khalil called on Bode to create uniforms for the hotel staff. After much popularity amongst guests, it was only natural that the two would collaborate again to create the sunny, summer-inspired capsule collection we’ve all been waiting for.
