Beyond the well-known world of Hollywood’s movie factories, there is a incredible rich and diverse scene of young artists and creatives in Los Angels. They are pursuing their careers in California’s entertainment industry across a number of professions – in music, fashion and dancing. Coming from all parts of the world, they have chosen LA as the place to build their life and careers. Each of them is blessed with exceptional talent and has a fascinating story to tell.

Tell us a bit about what you do. How did you come to dancing?
I dance since I was 4 years old. My mom put me in ballet class and I never stopped dancing.
What kind of dancing do you do?
I do mostly jazz, funk, hip hop, some voguing and I freestyle a lot
If you weren’t dancing, what career would you pursue?
I’m not sure to be honest, definitely something in the artistic field. I love photography, film and fashion.
Have you got any role models in the industry? Or role models in general?
I do have people I look up to for their work in the industry, but I’m also inspired by painters, singers, photographers and artists in general, not only in the dance industry.
What would be your dream assignment? Who would you love to dance for or with?
Choreograph and being a creative for Sade (when she comes back lol), obviously if I could dance, why not.
Let’s talk about LA. Did you grow up here? If not, why did you move to LA?
I’m from Paris, France. I moved for my dance career.
Which is your favourite neighbourhood in LA?
I love the east side of LA between Echo Park, Downtown and the Art District.
What is it that you like most about the LA lifestyle and the people?
The weather is definitely a big plus. People are really laid back you can actually create in the street and people will not be staring at you.
Where can you be found on a Saturday in LA?
It depends, it really varies I used to go out a lot. I would say if there’s a really good party with some good DJs, I will be there, if not chilling.
Do you have any tips for those visiting Los Angeles?
Get a car! That will make your life easier in LA. There’s a lot to discover, everything is spread out so drive around.
Which other city/country would you love to visit and why?
South America (Brazil, Costa Rica…) has always been on my bucket list.
What are your favourite movies?
A Bronx Tale, Dirty Dancing
What’s your favourite music?
I love RnB, soul, hip hop, house, disco and alternative music
Favourite Books?
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho is always a good reminder.
Name your three essential items that you carry with you?
My phone (unfortunately). I always have water and my fanny pack
What do you do in your free time?
I go to the movies. I also try to make it to the beach more often.
What would you say has been the highlight of your career so far?
I would say this year choreographing and being the creative director for the artist Eve.
It was such a great experience, I’m very grateful for her trust.
What goals have you got for 2019?
More work, more projects – creating more. I want to try new things too, expand my talent.
If you could be a superhero for one day, who would you be and why?
Phoenix, she’s the most powerful superhero!
