What do dreams mean when you have to put your whole life on hold? It’s safe to say that, with COVID-19 still on the loose, we are living through the strangest time most of us have ever experienced. So, with the world as we know it crumbling around us, where do we let our imaginations run free? Where can we escape, even if just for an hour? Art, for us, keeps us sane amongst the chaos. It allows us to express within the deafening politics and times spent shut indoors. We will not ‘Rethink. Reskill. Reboot’ like the UK government suggests we do; instead, we will create and imagine! And when we’re feeling inspired again, we’ll tackle the world’s problems once more – because things are changing, and to combat hate, we need our whole hearts. So, welcome to issue 12 of PUSS PUSS – The Dream Issue!

Our biggest issue to date with over 400 pages, we have the most amazing and talented creatives from around the world: the acclaimed playwright Jeremy O. Harris is photographed in London by Emma Summerton, we escape on a dreamy shoot in Malta by Stephanie Galea who herself hails from there, our regular contributor Cameron Postforoosh shoots model Lili Sumner in NYC for a story that’s pure joy, we meet the musician Beabadoobee to find out about her new album and her favourite 90s bands, Tess McMillan reminds you to eat your greens in a shoot by Emily Soto, Gigi Goode takes us into her fantasy world of drag on a shoot in LA by artist Torbjørn Rødland, Adrienne Raquel photographs actor and artist Ajani Russell in NYC, we speak to Khaite designer Catherine Holstein about sexy power dressing, Gala Slater curates a portfolio of work by young POC photographers from around the world and much more exciting stories taking you to a dream world created by the contributing artists.
