We are super excited to exclusively share with you the brand new video by Australian singer, songwriter & producer George Maple. The track is Maple’s fresh take on Jeff Buckley’s Everybody Here Wants You and is powerful and evocative. The tale of unbounded desire and beauty is given a modern spin and the black and white video is the perfect companion piece, with Maple moving in a hypnotic, siren-like way, swaying in and out of darkness. The song holds a personal connection to the singer, “I used to listen to the original of this song on repeat when I first became intimate with my then lover, we were both very hesitant about one another. We’d both been wounded, this song wound its way around both of our fractured hearts. It was the only cover I ever considered including in the record.”
“We filmed the video in London, we (Andrew O’Toole, Leticia Dare and I) all kind of floated away during the process, I felt like I was a creature of the night longing for affection.”
This track is taken from Maple’s debut album Lover which came out on Virgin EMI on October 27th and follows the recent hit single Hero.
She is also embarking on a world tour in 2018, stay tuned for all the dates!
